No trip would be complete with out some sort of mishap, right? While in Milwaukee last weekend Quinn took a spill on the escalator at Mayfair Mall. He said he wanted to play on it, so I did what any good parent would do, I let him. Bad, bad Mom. We stopped by Walgreens and Mike glued him together with newly purchased steri-strips. His nose has gone through various shades of green and blue, quite a bit of swelling and some soreness. Bad, Molly! Bad, bad Molly!
It's been 6 days since the fall and we're planning on removing the steri-strip tomorrow. Look closely and you'll see the tiny cut and hopefully (cross your fingers for Quinn!) the tiny scar.
Why couldn't he have fallen on his armpit instead of his face??! Poor guy.

ooooh the lure of the escalator! Cute Quinn and his cute nose! He'll be better in no time.:)
I giggled at your trauma over the escalator incident. It has to happen to all moms sometime. Hope all is well. Loved peeking into your life via your cute blog.
Dang it!! What a cutie and I think you are a GREAT mom for letting him go for the escalator fun!!
Oh the fun times of being a parent. We all have our "escalator story" too, it's just that yours is funnier becuase of they way you tell it. You always make me smile. Poor Quinn. Good mom. Fun story.
Hi Molly! I'm so excited to finally see pictures of you & your kids. I still remember when we were both pregnant, but you were double loaded with twins! Wow! You're such a great mom! I'd love to let you view my blog too; email me and I'll add you as a viewer. (dmhatch_2000@yahoo.com)
p.s. don't worry about the escalator incident. he won't even remember that you were the one that was supposed to keep him from playing on it! :) Plus, he's still as cute as ever! Take care!
Hey Molly! I saw a shout out on C's blog that it's your birthday! So Happy Birthday! Last time I saw you was in Dr. Heiner's waiting room and you were very pregnant with those adorable twins! Anyway, just wanted to say hey! :)
BFF,
Today you are xx. I won't state the age here, you know I love you too much. But to me you are always freckled and steering me down a canal under spider bridges and towards our horses buttercup and chocolate, speaking in a country accent while I use a British; or singing in harmony with me in the dark in Laura's big bed downstairs when we should be snoozing; or recreating "the eye of the tiger" in our dorm at EFY until I laugh so hard that I cry (I have lots of laugh till I cry memories of you); or of eating straight cream cheese at your kitchen counter while you tell me (at age 12, probably) that you've decided to spend as much time as you can with C and Ty because they are going to grow up and you'll miss the times you had together (so wise, and so influential for me!); or driving down an Orem street where you pop up out of my sunroof and yell "Why I Oughta!" while shaking your fist at pedestrians; ; or feeling with you the amazing Spirit in the Red Brick House for the RS Birthday with our babies in our arms; or preteen you teaching me by example to wear funky socks, which I STILL buy and wear and which my husband makes a little fun of because I'm about to turn xx.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR ONE. I could go on and on with memories of you making my life WONDERFUL. Here's to another xx years and more of hitching my wagon to your star and being better for it.
